Do you know what your smartphone says about you? My study aims to find out what information can be revealed about people through their smartphone usage. The GCSB can collect ‘non-personal’ information or metadata – what does this ‘non-personal’ information potentially tell others about your life? What kind of knowledge could be created about you?

All you have to do is:

- fill in an online questionnaire (~ 15 mins)

- install an app on your Android device to collect anonymous data about calls and text.

This project is part of my Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree at Victoria University of Wellington. I am required to complete a research project. This project has been approved by the Victoria University Human Ethics Committee, Application ID 21200.
