Biography
Qi Chen received the B.E. degree in Automation from the University of South China, Hunan, China in 2005 and the M.E. degree in Software Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China in 2007, and the PhD degree in computer science in 2018 at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Since 2014, she has joined the Evolutionary Computation Research Group at Victoria University of Wellington (VUW). Currently, she is a Lecturer in School of Engineering and Computer Science at VUW. Qi's current research mainly focus on genetic programming for symbolic regression. Her research interests including machine learning, evolutionary computation, feature selection, feature construction, transfer learning, domain adaptation and statistical learning theory. She serves as a reviewer of international conferences, including IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation, and international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation and IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics.
