My project looks at using Virtual Reality (VR) headsets to help manage chronic pain. I am recruiting people who suffer from chronic pain to participate in study that will take at most two hours.
To be eligible for this study you need to meet all the following requirements:
- Suffer from chronic pain.
- Be able to attend a session in-person at Wellington Regional Hospital
What you have to do during the study
For the study we will put you in a VR headset for 3x 10-minute sessions for a total of 30 minutes in VR, during which you will be asked to play through a series of puzzles.
There will also be a 10-minute session outside of VR, where we would like you to do something from your daily life that you do for relaxation or pain management such as reading, listening to music, watching videos online, meditation, etc. Please bring along whatever you need for this session (book, music, etc.).
Please note there will be a computer with Internet connection at the session, so you do not need to bring your own computer if you wish to watch videos or do something else online.
To arrange a session, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with "ChronicVR" in the subject.
Participants will receive a small koha for their time.
