My research is in matroid theory with a particular focus on structural matroid theory and matroid representation theory. Two introductory talks on matroids can be found here and here.

Currently I am involved in a project with Jim Geelen and Bert Gerards attempting to extend the results of the Graph Minors Project of Robertson and Seymour to matroids representable over finite fields.
